The San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2021 has seen a major downturn in content from Hollywood studios as a result of strikes and the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, there are still several notable shows and events that fans can look forward to at the convention.
To begin with, “Dexter: New Blood” will hold a panel discussion that includes stars Michael C. Hall and Jack Alcott, along with showrunner Clyde Phillips. They will talk about the show’s highly anticipated return. Similarly, the Doctor Who panel will feature Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill, and newcomer John Bishop as they talk about the upcoming thirteenth season.
Furthermore, the rebooted “CSI: Vegas” will participate with a panel made up of original cast members William Petersen and Jorja Fox, as well as new stars Paula Newsome and Matt Lauria. They will spill the beans on what we can expect from the revival of the beloved crime procedural series.
Other major shows participating in SDCC 2021 include “Legacies,” “Riverdale,” “Fear the Walking Dead,” and “The Walking Dead.” Fans can expect a variety of exclusive content, interviews, and teasers from these popular series.
Several virtual panels and presentations also await fans, such as the “Star Trek Universe,” “DC’s Stargirl,” and “Family Guy.” While there may be a shortage of Hollywood content at this year’s Comic-Con, it’s clear that there’s still plenty to get excited about.
“We are grateful for the partnership with our very special guests who are joining us to provide some very special virtual panels,” says David Glanzer, SDCC’s Chief Communications & Strategy Officer, about the event.
So, though the situation has diminished the traditional scale of the San Diego Comic-Con, avid TV fans still have several opportunities to connect with their favorite shows and get exclusive insights into what lies ahead.
