Ellen Holly, First Black Leading Actor on Daytime TV and OLTL Veteran, Dies at 92 Release Date

Well, here’s some news that’s a bit of a downer. Ellen Holly, a veteran of the daytime TV scene, has passed away. She was 92, a ripe old age indeed.

Now, if you’re not familiar with her, let me fill you in. Ellen was a real trailblazer. She was the first black leading actor in daytime TV. That’s right, the very first.

She was best known for her work on “One Life to Live” (OLTL for the fans). So, she wasn’t just a regular actor, she was a vet. A seasoned pro.

So, there you have it. Ellen Holly, daytime-TV’s pioneer, is no longer with us. It’s a loss for the industry, no doubt. But hey, she lived a full life and left an indelible mark.

And that’s the news for today. A bit sad, I know. But such is life, right?
