The famed quiz show, Jeopardy!, has announced that the upcoming Tournament of Champions, initially planned for Fall 2021, will be pushed back amid an ongoing writers’ strike. The tournament is now scheduled to take place in 2022 with the same contestants who had qualified for the original event.

The strike involves a labor dispute between writers and the show’s production company, resulting in delays for the fan-favorite event. In an official statement, Jeopardy! expressed their support for the writers, stating, “We stand in solidarity with our striking colleagues and look forward to resuming production as soon as the dispute is resolved.” It is clear that the production team understands the importance of the writers’ grievances and undoubtedly wants to see a resolution that benefits everyone involved.
