– Typo in Paramount+ email sparks confusion among Joe Pickett fans
– Creator David E. Kelley originally planned two seasons with 20 episodes
– Season 2 expected to release in fall 2023
Joe Pickett fans were left puzzled and startled after receiving a promotional email from Paramount+ containing a typo, which called the show’s recent Season 1 conclusion a “series finale” instead of a “season finale”. However, contrary to the mistake, the television drama based on the book series by C.J. Box is not being prematurely canceled.
The show’s producer and writer David E. Kelley had initially planned for a total of two seasons consisting of 20 episodes. The first season saw its release on December 5, 2023, and consisted of 10 episodes that covered two of Box’s novels, “The Disappeared” and “Vicious Circle”. Each season is designed to adapt two of the author’s novels, providing a conclusive ending for the particular story arc.
While the erroneous email implied that the show’s journey was completely over, fans can actually expect Joe Pickett to return for a second season in the fall of 2023.
