The popular character of Lando Calrissian from the Star Wars universe will make a return through a Disney+ series, thanks to Donald Glover and Stephen Glover who will be penning the show. Lando has been portrayed by Billy Dee Williams in the original movies, as well as Donald Glover himself in the film ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story.’
The Glover brothers, who previously collaborated on the FX series ‘Atlanta,’ are set to work together once again for this exciting project. It remains unknown who will play Lando Calrissian in the series but fans are hoping to see Donald Glover reprise the role and deepen his connection with the character. The show’s release date is yet to be announced.
Disney and Lucasfilm have recently begun expanding the Star Wars universe through various series on the Disney+ platform, with the immense success of “The Mandalorian” prompting new stories such as “The Book of Boba Fett” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Adding Lando Calrissian’s character to the lineup is sure to ignite excitement among fans and contribute to the growing list of Star Wars content coming to the streaming service.
