Marlee Matlin Shocked by Lack of ASL Performances at Super Bowl Release Date

Marlee Matlin was, like, totally floored. Can you believe it? ASL performances got zero spotlight during the Super Bowl. Nada. Zilch.

“Absolutely shocked,” she said. And honestly? Same here. It’s the Super Bowl, for crying out loud. You’d think they’d have it all.

No sign language on such a massive stage? It’s kinda wild when you think about it. Almost makes you wonder what the organizers were thinking. Or not thinking, more like.

It’s not just about the oversight, though. It’s the message it sends, you know? Like, are we really still overlooking such important aspects of inclusivity?

But hey, maybe that’s just me rambling. Or, well, Marlee Matlin wasn’t alone in her shock, so there’s that. It’s a conversation starter, at least.

Here’s to hoping next year’s different. Fingers crossed, right?
