Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige addressed fan speculation about potential Young Avengers projects during a recent industry roundtable. He confirmed the studio’s awareness of growing interest in the teen superhero team but stopped short of announcing concrete plans.
"We’re definitely tracking the characters and storylines that could support that direction," Feige said. "But we’re not ready to commit to specifics yet."
The comments come as Marvel continues expanding its roster of younger heroes across multiple projects.
Characters like Kate Bishop, Kamala Khan, Cassie Lang, and Billy Maximoff have appeared in recent Disney+ series and films. Each represents a potential Young Avengers member from the comics.
Feige emphasized that any Young Avengers project would need to serve the characters properly rather than rushing into production.
Daredevil Series Maintains Creative Independence
Marvel Television will keep the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series separate from events in Thunderbolts*. The decision allows both projects to maintain distinct tones and storylines.
"We want each property to have its own identity," a Marvel source explained. "Cross-connections will happen when they serve the story, not because fans expect them."
The **Thunderbolts* film features several reformed villains working together as reluctant heroes. Daredevil**, meanwhile, focuses on street-level crime in Hell’s Kitchen.
Both projects remain scheduled for 2024 releases despite taking different approaches to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s interconnected storytelling.
“Sometimes the best way to honor these characters is letting them exist in their own space first,” Feige noted.
Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock in the Daredevil series. Vincent D’Onofrio reprises his role as Wilson Fisk.
The Thunderbolts roster includes Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, and Wyatt Russell among others.
Marvel’s approach reflects lessons learned from previous phases where fans sometimes felt certain connections seemed forced rather than organic.
