Larry Myers Jr., who was also known as “Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits” and appeared in a January 2022 episode of TLC’s My 600-Lb. Life, has passed away at the age of 49. According to a family spokesperson, Myers suffered a heart attack at his home in Houston, Texas.

His cousin, Todd Darrell, first announced Myers’ passing on Facebook on June 17. In the post, Darrell expressed his sorrow for the loss of his cousin and asked for prayers for the family. “Larry has fought the good fight. He has overcome some of the biggest challenges he has ever had to face. Rest well, Junior. You will be missed. Thanks and blessings to all. Please keep our family in your prayers.”

Myers’ god-sister, Sonya Hines-Hall, set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses and shared a touching tribute about him. Hines-Hall wrote that Myers had been sharing his musical talents since the age of 10, performing in various venues from small churches to the Apollo theater. She mentioned that, despite his weight struggles, Larry’s drive to show love and kindness to others never waned. The family hopes to bring him home one last time to lay him to rest with dignity and respect but needs financial help to do so.
