– Rachel Bilson addressed criticism from Whoopi Goldberg
– The issue pertains to Bilson’s judgment on men’s lack of sexual partners
– Bilson clarifies her intention and respects Goldberg’s opinion
Actress Rachel Bilson, known for her role on “The O.C.,” recently responded to criticism from Whoopi Goldberg, the co-host of “The View.” Goldberg took issue with Bilson’s perceived judgment of men for having fewer sexual partners.
Bilson took to her podcast “Welcome to the OC,| Bitches!” to address the situation. She clarified her intention and expressed her respect for Goldberg’s opinion, stating, “It’s all love for me.” She further added, “I certainly don’t judge anybody on the number of people that they’ve slept with – that’s just not what I care about.”
The discussion began with Bilson speaking to her podcast co-host Melinda Clarke about her perception that people today are not having as much sex as they used to. “Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like I hear that people aren’t necessarily sleeping with as many people anymore,” she said. Goldberg responded to this comment on “The View,” stating, “As long as they’re practicing safe sex or their reason for not having sex is their own business, I don’t think people should be discouraged from having lots of sex or none at all.”
Bilson wanted to clarify her stance, stressing, “I don’t want anyone walking away thinking that I’m judging anybody or anything… It’s a personal preference that has no bearing on what I think about anybody else.” Moreover, in response to Goldberg’s comments, Bilson said she would happily go on “The View” to share her perspective and resolve any misunderstandings.
