Sophie Turner’s upcoming show “The Staircase,” recently wrapped up, is creating a buzz as it has the potential to be awards bait. Mark Pedowitz, the CEO of The CW Network, praised the former “Game of Thrones” actress’s performance in the new series as “phenomenal.”

“She is going to be awards bait,” Pedowitz said during a virtual event on Tuesday. “Every once in a while, you watch a performance, and you go, ‘Wow.’ And that’s what happened with Sophie Turner. She is phenomenal.”

“The Staircase” is set to air on The CW in 2023, and Turner’s performance is already generating attention and excitement for the show.
