If you’re a fan of twisted humor and don’t mind letting the world know, Netflix has created a Streamberry portal reminiscent of the memorable episode from Black Mirror Season 6. In the first episode of the anthology series’ first season in four years, Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek) portrays Joan, a woman whose private life filled with questionable choices is streamed for everyone to see in a hit Streamberry drama.
In the show, Streamberry closely resembles Netflix, even down to its logo, opening “tudummm” sound, and homepage. Netflix has now launched the real-life Streamberry portal, YouAreAwful.com, where anyone can provide their name and a photo to generate a personalized Streamberry landing page featuring the “brand-new drama” [Your name here] Is Awful.
However, potential users should take note of the YouAreAwful.com Terms and Conditions, which state that user information “could be used by us for in our promotional campaigns on various media sites, including, but not limited to, out-of-home digital and billboard media and fly posters.” There is the option to opt-out of these campaigns after consenting by sending an email.
