– Tom Bergeron has no intentions of returning to Dancing with the Stars
– Bergeron cites the show’s changing direction as his reason
– He wishes the best for the season 30 cast
In a recent interview, Tom Bergeron discussed his decision to never return to “Dancing With the Stars,” the show he hosted for 15 years. He explained that he is not interested in going back, given the shift in direction and focus the show has taken.
Bergeron mentioned, “When people say, ‘I’m not a fan of the show anymore’ — well, I’m not either, in terms of once it went in a different direction.” The former host believes that the show’s priorities have changed and it isn’t the same program it once was. Therefore, he feels that his time as a host has come to a natural conclusion.
He also went on to discuss his relationship with former co-host Erin Andrews, saying they remain friends despite not working together on the show anymore. As for the show’s current cast in its 30th season, Bergeron wishes them well, emphasizing, “I harbor no ill will.” While there is a great deal of nostalgia associated with his time on “Dancing With the Stars,” Tom Bergeron is content with his decision and looks forward to new opportunities in the future.
