Paramount+ has renewed “Tulsa King” for a fourth season, extending Sylvester Stallone’s return to television in the crime drama series.
The streaming service announced the renewal following strong viewership numbers for the show’s second season. “Tulsa King” premiered in November 2022 and quickly became one of Paramount+’s most-watched original series.
Stallone stars as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York mafia capo who relocates to Tulsa, Oklahoma after serving 25 years in prison.
The actor also serves as executive producer alongside series creator Taylor Sheridan. Sheridan’s production company 101 Studios handles production for the series.
Season two wrapped up earlier this year with Stallone’s character navigating new challenges in building his criminal empire in Oklahoma.
The renewal comes as part of Paramount+’s continued investment in original programming. The platform has seen success with Sheridan’s other projects, including “Yellowstone” and its various spinoffs.
Production details for season four haven’t been announced yet. The show typically films in Oklahoma and New York.
“Tulsa King” marks Stallone’s first major television series as a lead actor. The 77-year-old actor built his career primarily in feature films before transitioning to the streaming format.
Paramount+ hasn’t released specific viewership numbers for the series, but the renewal indicates strong performance on the platform.
The show’s supporting cast includes Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, and Jay Will. Most main cast members are expected to return for the fourth season.
